Education Policy Center at Michigan State University

The Education Policy Center, founded in June 2000 by the Board of Trustees of Michigan State University, describes its mission as improving the quality of education in Michigan and nationwide by providing key audiences in the education policy system with access to timely, credible, and non-partisan policy research and analysis. The EPC has assumed three key roles in the educational policy system. First, it serves as a repository for current information about educational systems with state, national, and international contexts. Second, the EPC has established itself as a source for research reports and briefings on educational policy issues. Third, the Education Policy Center develops and supports initiatives that help officials and citizens to identify emerging policy issues and provides forums for debate.
