New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies

The New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies describes itself as an independent, non-partisan organization that conducts data-based research on policy matters and suggests choices for action to key decision-makers. The Center's stated goal is to improve policy debates in New Hampshire by keeping the state legislature, media, and local officials informed on the most pressing issues. One of the Center's main projects is school finance. Since 1998, Center researchers have critiqued and developed alternatives to current funding approaches and maintained and publicized their own cost projections. The Center's reports on school finance can be found at www.unh.edu/nhcpps/sfinance.htm. The Center is affiliated with the Institute for Policy and Social Science Research at the University of New Hampshire.
