New
Ohio Institute
The New Ohio Institute describes itself as a non-profit,
nonpartisan statewide think tank that researches the
most important public policy issues in Ohio and then
provides information and action-oriented ideas to the
public. The Institute focuses especially on education,
and it has written reports for both sides in Ohio's
adequacy case, DeRolph v. State.
Other Institute publications
on education deal
with standards-based reform, class size, and use
of education funds. There is also a yearly primer on
one major education issue: the 2002
primer focuses on school construction. The Institute
believes that governing must be a partnership between
states, localities, elected officials, and citizens.
