on Reinventing Public Education states its mission as studying major issues in
education reform and governance in order to improve policy and decision-making
in public schools. The Center's work is grounded in the belief that the current
educational system is not working and that efforts to improve schools must include
a comprehensive and fair look at the possibility of fundamental change in public
education institutions. The Center pursues its goal through conducting research
on major issues in reform and governance; developing new ideas and models; and
designing tools and guides for communities in search of alternatives for improving
public education.
