Revenues for Education is a grass-roots group which has been active in finding
solutions to and getting information about Wisconsin's revenue limit law. Institute
for Wisconsin's Future (IWF) The Institute for Wisconsin's Future
(IWF) is a statewide research and community education center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Their mission is to inform residents about issues affecting their lives and to
increase citizen involvement in decision making on key state policies. IWF's research
is oriented towards policy. Janesville
Joint Legislative Committee In the School District of Janesville,
agreement between the local School Board with the Administration and the Janesville
Education Association (JEA) created a Joint Legislative Committee with the mandate
to study State Revenue Cap and Qualified Economic Offer. The Committee, appointed
by the District Administrator, Dr. Thomas Evert and JEA President, Ms. Dierdre
Golberg, included a full spectrum of representatives, including: board commissioners,
administrators, teachers (members of JEA), parents, student and leaders from the
community at-large, e.g., UAW Local #95, Forward Janesville, Inc. Wisconsin
Alliance for Excellent Schools (WAES)
WAE is a coalition of groups working of fair and adequate
funding of Wisconsin's public schools. The coalition
includes public school districts and administrators,
parent organizations, school board members and other
education interest groups. Areas of focus: Wisconsin's
school revenue limit law, school funding.

Council on Children & Families
The stated mission of the Wisconsin Council on Children
and Families, WCCF or the Council, is to ensure that
every child in Wisconsin grows up in a just and nurturing
family and community. The Council is a multi-issue child
and family advocacy organization, providing research,
policy analysis, public education and advocacy that
lead to improved outcomes for children in the areas
of health, economic security, safety and education.
Public education is one of the Council’s major
policy areas, and their goals include providing all
Wisconsin children with high-quality early childhood
education and closing the achievement gap.

advocates for children and youth in Wisconsin and is the connecting link between
the National PTA and local units. For 100 years, the PTA has been the only national
organization whose sole purpose is the health, education and welfare of ALL children. WISDOM WISDOM,
a regional organization seeking justice and common good in Southeastern Wisconsin,
is comprised of four sister organizations, MICAH,
RIC (Racine), CUSH (Kenosha) and HOSEA
(southern Milwaukee County) . Through community organizing, WISDOM works to create
opportunities for ordinary citizens to participate in the social, political, environmental,
and economic decisions that impact their lives. Areas of focus in education: funding
equity, school vouchers/privatization, school tax reform, capital needs. |
